Chapter 11: For what the hand of a thief is to be cut off
باب مَا يُقْطَعُ فِيهِ السَّارِقُ
Sunan Abi Dawud 4385
Ibn ‘Umar’ said
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) had thief’s hand cut off for a shield worth three dirhams.حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَطَعَ فِي مِجَنٍّ ثَمَنُهُ ثَلاَثَةُ دَرَاهِمَ .
