Chapter 31: To vow for something not possessed, and for something sinful
باب النَّذْرِ فِيمَا لاَ يَمْلِكُ وَفِي مَعْصِيَةٍ
Sahih Al Bukhari 6702
Narrated Ibn `Abbas
The Prophet ﷺ a man performing Tawaf around the Ka`ba, tied with a rope or something else (while another person was holding him). The Prophet (ﷺ) cut that rope off.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ الأَحْوَلِ، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم رَأَى رَجُلاً يَطُوفُ بِالْكَعْبَةِ بِزِمَامٍ أَوْ غَيْرِهِ، فَقَطَعَهُ.
