Bulugh al-Maram 588
Umm ‘Atiyah (RAA) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) made us pledge that we will not wail. Agreed upon.
وَعَنْ أُمِّ عَطِيَّةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ: { أَخَذَ عَلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -أَنْ لَا نَنُوحَ } مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْه ِ 1 .
