Mishkat al-Masabih 3944
Ibn ‘Umar told that Allah's Messenger ﷺ cut down the palm-trees of the B. an-Nadir and burned them. On that Hassan says
The nobles of the B. Lu’ayy treated lightly a widely dispersed conflagration in al-Buwaira. Concerning that came down, “The palm-trees you cut down or left standing on their roots, it was by Allah’s permission” (Al-Quran 59:5). (Bukhari and Muslim.)وَعَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ: أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَطَعَ نَخْلَ بني النَّضيرِ وحرَّقَ وَلها يقولُ حسَّانٌ: وَهَانَ عَلَى سَرَاةِ بَنِي لُؤَيٍّ حَرِيقٌ بِالْبُوَيْرَةِ مُستَطيرُ وَفِي ذَلِكَ نَزَلَتْ (مَا قَطَعْتُمْ مِنْ لِينَةٍ أَوْ تَرَكْتُمُوهَا قَائِمَةً عَلَى أُصُولِهَا فَبِإِذْنِ اللَّهِ)
