Chapter 90: If He Does Not Have Any Dirhams But He Has The Equivalent
باب إِذَا لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ دَرَاهِمُ وَكَانَ لَهُ عِدْلُهَا
Sunnan an-Nasai 2597
It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said
"The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'It is not permissible to give charity to a rich man (or one who is independent of means) or to one who is strong and healthy."'أَخْبَرَنَا هَنَّادُ بْنُ السَّرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي حَصِينٍ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " لاَ تَحِلُّ الصَّدَقَةُ لِغَنِيٍّ وَلاَ لِذِي مِرَّةٍ سَوِيٍّ " .
